If your crown has fallen off your tooth, there is no need to worry. Our Douglas Dental team is happy to help you! There are three things you need to do once you’ve broken your crown, and those three things are:
Call your dentist
The most important thing you need to do is call your dentist right away and schedule an appointment. Your dentist is the only one who can completely correct the situation. When you come in for your appointment, please remember to bring the crown with you.
Put the crown back in place
Use over-the-counter dental cement or sugar-free gum to put the crown back over the tooth for now. Simply fill the center of the crown with the gum or cement and stick it back into place. If the crown won’t stay, make sure to keep it in a safe place so you don’t lose or break it.
Take over-the-counter pain medications
If you are in pain, feel free to take an over-the-counter pain medication until you meet with the dentist. We never want you to feel uncomfortable, so please take the medication as needed.
Call 520-364-3361 now and schedule an appointment with Dr. Darren Haws so he can fix your dental crown and send you on your way! Our team is here to help you in any way we can, and we look forward to talking with you. Also, if you have any questions about a dental crown in Douglas, Arizona, please feel free to contact us during office hours.
